PENARTH PIER
Very much in the news these days are the iconic Penarth Pier and the Pier Pavilion. The Pier was completely reconstructed in 1985 and today sees hundreds of visitors every week - all free of charge. The Pavilion is currently operated by a charity and opens its doors to the public free of charge. Showing art exhibitions and hosting weddings and events, the Pavilion is a must visit venue.

Once known as Cardiff Docks with a run down image, these days Cardiff Bay is a thriving regenerated hub of professional offices, numerous restaurants, the world renowned Wales Millenium Centre and The Welsh "Parliament". Ferry boats run from Penarth Marina to Cardiff Bay throughout the day.
